PUMPKIN CONTEST!

Hey Screamer fans!  Only two weeks till race day!  This year we are adding a new twist to the fun of the Soda Screamer Thirteener: a pumpkin decorating contest.

You do not have to be a participant in the race to enter this contest--it's for anyone who wants to enter and there will be fabulous prizes!  Bring a painted or carved pumpkin to the packet pick-up (6-8 at City Hall: 9 West 2nd South) the night before the race.  There will be prizes for best pumpkins in the following three categories: superheroes, scary, and funny.  Be creative and go all-out!  You may also bring your pumpkins to Kelly Park on the morning of the race between 7 and 9.

The race committee wants to cover the finish line and the course with Halloween masterpieces from our talented community!  Please join in the fun and support our runners.

If you registered for the race before the discount, we will refund the difference to you when you pick up your packet.  But we hope that you will opt to support the charity we are sponsoring this year: The International Diabetes Federation.  Please contact us and let us know if you would like to forward your refund to this great organization.

Soda Screamer Drops Registration Price!

From now until October 12th, the cost to run in the Soda Screamer Thirteener has been dropped from $60 to $40.  The race begins at 8 AM on Saturday, October 13th, and there will be race-day registration at 6:30 AM for the full $60 price.

There are four weeks until this Halloween half marathon, held annually at Kelly Park in Soda Springs, Idaho.  The Halloween theme this year is superheroes, and the race directors encourage runners to dress as their favorite superhero (or make up their own).
New this year is a pumpkin decorating contest for runners, their support groups, and all members of the community.  Bring a painted or carved pumpkin to the packet pick-up the night before the race, which will be Friday, October 12th, from 6 to 8.  There will be prizes for best pumpkins in the following three categories: superheroes, running, and Soda Springs.  Be creative and go all-out!  The race committee wants to cover the finish line and the course with Halloween masterpieces from our talented community.
There’s never been a better time to run!
